For the past few years, I have been investigating a notion of ‘everyday’ working gesture, when a moment of engagement with another materiality [human or non-human, massaged body or building scaffold] becomes a space for material resonances and poetic metaphors. I staged a series of GestureLabs that invited participants to explore their own imaginary overlaps and ways of connecting with different bodies and spaces. The labs were developed in conversations with a neuroscientist, movement and voice professionals.
